Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!
Synopsis: "The story of a low-rent super villian, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he's too shy to talk to."
Starring: Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer, Felicia Day as Penny, and NPH as Dr. Horrible.
Written during the writer's strike, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog will be a mini-musical aired in three 10 minute online episodes...soon. I don't know when, but I promise to let y'all know as soon as I do.
The teaser was released just a few days ago, and I'm still giddy with excitement.

So Excited!
Even MORE EXCITING is that when I was leaving the sale (with a new friend, I might add, a fellow shopper who went by herself and needed good opinions from an objective third party), guess who I saw cross the street towards me?
ALEXANDER WANG!!!
It was kind of sad, because I was too busy stammering "omg omgomgomgomg that's him that's him that's HIM" to be brave enough to go say hi or tell him how much I love him and want to work for him even though he is the same age as I am.
I know to native NYers, seeing someone famous is no big - but even though I've been here two years now, I'm still a newbie to this city! And yeah, seeing Jessica Simpson was pretty awesome, and meeting Rebecca Minkoff was neato, but walking right by the fashion world's darling was LEGENDARY.
He's sooooo cuuuuute. Mister Wang, if you read this, can I be your friend? I'm really nice, and I'm told I can be pretty funny. I'll give you money? Like, besides the money I'm already giving by buying your clothes? Okay? Okay. Love you! Bye.

The Hit List - Part I
Mayle Severine Jacket, $625.
Lova Military Shirt, $196. Yes, it's a guy's shirt. Yes, I would wear it! (Maybe a little unbuttoned, with a big belt, and maybe some black skinny jeans.)
Turning a new leaf, by window shopping
In an effort to save as much money as I possibly can so that I can reach my new goal of being a property owner before I turn 27 (I have 3 years and I'm starting from scratch - literally - scratch. Nothing.), I have set new guidelines for myself in terms of my shopping for the rest of this year. Now through the end of June is my "trial run" to make sure that I can actually garner the willpower to go through with this, and beginning July 1 the new TEE (me!) will be a work-in-progress.
Clothes I am allowed to buy: (things like socks, scarves, and headbands don't count)
- 1 Skirt for a suit
- 1 pull-over sweater
- 1 cardigan
- 2 jackets (1 casual, 1 formal)
- 2 pairs of shoes (my choice)
- 1 miscellaneous TBD
Very important to note that though TWO pairs of shoes made the list, there is NO BAG included in any of the allotted 8 spots (This will probably be the bane of my near-future future). Also please note that the majority of the items are mostly for the purposes of work + school functions, with the obvious outliers being the casual jacket and the to-be-determined item.
NOTHING ELSE is allowed! That means for the next 6 months, you should only see me with 8 new things, unless...
The Exception:
- I sell things that I don't want/don't wear at a thrift or consignment shop, AND
- if there is shopping being done, it is at a thrift or consignment shop.
I figure it's time to learn how to live in the money bracket that I belong in, not in the money bracket that I delude myself into thinking I belong there. That is to say: I'm poor and I gotta live like it or else I'm gonna be poor forever.
This isn't to say that there won't be plenty of window shopping, or that I will stop encouraging other people to spend their money so that I can live vicariously through them - oh, no. If anything, you should see an increase in that verrrrrry soon. In fact, I'll probably spend a good amount of time this week posting things that I wish I could buy on the blog so that maybe someone else will see it and buy it and then share it with me.
I already said I was delusional.

Topshop A/W Picks!
Have fun scrolling. HA!
Wow, did you really make it to the bottom? If so, then let's get together because I have a lot more to show you...
Just kidding, kind of.
Carolina Liar
Pretty good right? So instead of being myself and digging around for info about them, how about somebody fill me in? Thanks.

Hot Guy Shoes
Okay, so it's not actually called the Hot Guy Shoe or whatever, but it should be. This is a shoe that is worn by hot guys. Or at least, very-well-dressed-deserves-a-second-look guy.
Ted Baker Ryde Derby Lace-up Shoe on sale now at ASOS for about $150!
And here are two more hot guy shoes that I think you hot guys out there should give a chance.
H by Hudson Browny Spring Toe Oxford Shoes on sale for ~$135!
ASOS Casual Leather Brogue on sale for ~$55!
I know some, if not most of my guy friends who read this are going to make faces and probably not like these shoes right away - but come on, guys! When have I led you wrong?!
Hermione = Chanel Mademoiselle
First she gets to be Hermione Granger and hang out with Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe, then she gets dressed in Chanel for every major event she attends, and now she follows in the footsteps of the likes of Kate Moss and Keira Knightley AND she becomes the youngest face for Chanel - ever. Her life must be pretty freaking amazing.
Sigh. Is it weird that even before all this I wanted to be her best friend?
Balenciaga 2008 Fall Amethyst City
Balenciaga bags are fun not in the fact that they come out with new designs every season (which they do) - they're fun because they come up with new and exciting colors for their tried and true bags. Some of this fall season's colors include: rubisse (ruby red), argent (light grey), marine (dark navy blue), black cherry (a deep reddish brown), sapphire (which, contrary to what you would think, is actually a dark purple), saddle (a chestnutty brown), and amethyst (a magenta-like pink).
And since I'm obsessed, I got a SA at Balenciaga NY to email me a picture of the newly arrived amethyst!
Isn't it pretty? Look at the soft, lush, supple leather. Wouldn't it look amazing on someone who wears a lot of black and grey (aka, me)? As much as I liked it in person, though, I don't know that I am a bright-colored handbag person, so in the end, because I'm boring, I will probably stick to my normal *yawn* black and/or brown bags. But I'm still holding out for the ruby red...we'll see how I feel about that color when it comes out in late July/early August!

Nordstrom Half-Yearly Men's Sale
I wasn't going to post this because in my skewed version of the world, everyone should know about Nordstrom's half yearlies. But after some thought, I realized that not everyone frequents Nordstrom half as much as I do and so I'd better announce this just in case.
Things are 33% off or more. Been needing some dress shirts? Ties? Fancy graphic tees? Get to it, men.
